Reģionālā identitāte un tradicionālā koka apbūve Latgalē

Abstract

Darbā aplūkoti reģionālās identitātes teorētiskie aspekti, tostarp vietas identitāte, piederības sajūta, teritorialitāte un vēstures interpretācija. Raksturota kultūras mantojuma un tradīciju nozīme reģionālās identitātes veidošanās un attīstības procesā, kā arī tradicionālās apbūves loma kultūrainavā. Reģionālās identitātes kontekstā darbā sniegts Latgales kultūrvēsturiskais, teritoriālais un institucionālais, kā arī iedzīvotāju etniskā sastāva, apdzīvojuma blīvuma un lauksaimniecības raksturojums. Darbā skatītas guļbūvju celtniecības tradīcijas pasaulē un Latgalē, kā arī raksturotas mūsdienu būvniecības tendences. Atbilstoši darba mērķim noteiktas Latgales reģionālās identitātes izpausmes tradicionālajā koka apbūvē un definēti preventīvie pasākumi, kas veicami, lai šo identitāti saglabātu.

This paper deals with theoretical aspects of regional identity, including place identity, sense of belonging, territoriality, and interpretation of the history. It describes importance of cultural heritage and traditions in the formation and development of the regional identity, and assesses role of traditional building in the cultural landscape. In the context of the regional identity paper describes cultural-geographical, territorial and institutional characteristics, as well as population's ethnic composition, distribution of population density and agricultural practices in Latgale. This paper also describes log building traditions in the world and Latgale, and trends of modern construction. According to the aim of the work paper describes expression of the regional identity in traditional wooden houses in Latgale, and defines preventive measures to be taken to preserve this identity.
