| dc.description.abstract | Tādu globālu procesu ietekmē kā klimata pārmaiņas, vides piesārņojums un dabas katastrofas vides aizsardzības problēma ir kļuvusi ļoti aktuāla pasaulē un arī Latvijā. Diplomdarbā tiek aplūkota ar vides aizsardzību saistītā terminoloģija, tās attīstība, galvenie terminu darināšanas paņēmieni un tulkošanas problēmas, ar kurām tulkotājs varētu sastapties, tulkojot ar vides aizsardzību saistītus tekstus. Šī darba mērķis bija izpētīt situāciju ar vides aizsardzību saistītas terminoloģijas jomā Latvijā. Lai sasniegtu šo mērķi, darba autore ir izpētījusi vides aizsardzības terminoloģijas raksturīgākās iezīmes, izanalizējusi divus dažāda veida un mērķa tekstu tulkojumus un apkopojusi informāciju par pieejamajām vides aizsardzības terminoloģijas vārdnīcām, glosārijiem un datubāzēm.

| dc.description.abstract | Due to such global processes as climate change, pollution and natural disasters the problem of environmental protection has become very topical all over the world, including Latvia. The present Diploma paper focuses on the environmental protection related terminology, its development, basic methods of term formation and problems the translator might face in the process of environmental protection text translation. The aim of the present paper was to research the situation in the field of environmental protection related terminology in Latvia. For this purpose the author has investigated the typical features of environmental protection related terminology, analyzed her translations of two environmental protection texts of different types and with different application, and made a review of available dictionaries, glossaries and data bases providing environmental protection terminology.
