Maģiskā reālisma elementi Salmana Rušdi romānā "Hārūns un stāstu jūra"

Abstract

Bakalaura darbs ir veltīts maģiskā reālisma elementu izpētei Salmana Rušdi romānā „Hārūns un stāstu jūra”. Darba mērķis ir izpētīt maģiskā reālisma būtību un atklāt šī literārā veida galvenās iezīmes, kā arī veikt izvēlētā literārā darba analīzi, koncentrējot uzmanību uz darbā esošajiem maģiskā reālisma elementiem. Šīs izpētes rezultāti liecina, ka romānā „Hārūns un stāstu jūra”, lai arī tas netiek uzskatīts par tipisku maģiskā reālisma paraugu, tā autors izmanto maģisko reālismu, lai nodrošinātu politisku satīru, un romāns satur vairākas šī literārā veida iezīmes, tai skaitā maģiskajam reālismam raksturīgas tēmas, tēlus, vidi un karnevāla tēlainību.

The present Bachelor Paper is dedicated to the analysis of magic realism elements in Salman Rushdie’s novel ”Haroun and the Sea of Stories”. The goal of this paper is to explore the essence of magic realism and reveal the main features of this literary mode, as well as to analyse the chosen literary work focusing on the magic realist elements present in it. The results of this research show that, although the chosen literary work has never been considered to be an example of magic realist writing, Salman Rushdie uses magic realism to provide a specific political satire, and the novel contains many typical features of this literary mode, such as themes, characters and setting pertaining to magic realism, as well as instances of carnivalesque imagery.
