Ebreju dzīve Latvijā no 14. gadsimta līdz mūsdienām

Abstract

Lingvists Salomo A.Birnbaums ir teicis: „Ir savādi, ka pasaule zina tik maz par ebreju tautu. Un šajos 2000 gados nekas nav mainījies.” Ebreju tauta jau gadsimtiem ilgi ir atradusies līdzās latviešu tautai- gan ģeogrāfiskā, gan vēsturiskā ziņā. Lai gan mūs ir vienojuši vairāki vēsturiski notikumi, mēs vēl joprojām par šo tautu zinām ļoti maz. Šī darba mērķis ir izpētīt ebreju tautas kultūras tradīcijas, vēsturiskās gaitas Latvijas valsts teritorijā un noskaidrot ebreju kapsētu pašreizējo stāvokli. Darbā „Ebreju dzīve Latvijā no 14. gadsimta līdz mūsdienām” tiek apskatīti vairāki Latvijas valsts vēsturiskie posmi, kuri saistās ar ebreju tautas likteni. Kā arī tiek vilktas paralēles ar pagātni un tagadni, cenšoties noskaidrot vai senās ebreju kapsētas ir pilnībā pamestas, vai tās ir nepieciešams atjaunot.

Linguistics Salome A. Birnbaum said: "It is strange that the world knows so little about the Jewish people. And in those 2000 years, nothing has changed. " Jewish people for centuries have been located next to the Latvian people, both in geographical and historical terms. Although we share many historical events, we're still are strangers, living in one country. This work aims to explore the Jewish cultural tradition, historical progress of Latvian territory and establish the Jewish cemetery, the current situation. The work is addressed in a number of Latvian state historical phases, which are associated with Jewish destiny. As well as being drawn parallels with the past and present, trying to ascertain whether the ancient Jewish cemetery is completely abandoned, or need to be restored.
