Herders un tautasdziesma

Abstract

Johans Gottfrīds Herders (1744 - 1803) bija nozīmīga personība apgaismības laikmetā. Šis darbs ir veltīts viņa dzīves un darba apskatam folkloras jomā. Herders dzīvoja pretēju ideju und divdabīgas kultūras laikā. Viņa tautas dziesmu tulkošanas teorija ierosmi aizguva no Makfersona 'Ossiana'. Herders, kā viens no pirmajiem, saskatīja folkloras nozīmi tautas identitātes apzināšanā, tāpēc viņš pats vāca un aicināja arī citus vākt tautas folkloru. Johann Gottfried Herder (1744-1803) was an important figure during the Enlightenment Era. This work examines the life and work of Herder in the field of folksongs. Herder lived in a time of contrasting ideas and culture. His theories of translation of traditional folk sources derived from the influence of Macphersons Ossian. As one of the first to recognise the meaning of folklore in defining national identity, he saw a new model of perfect poetry represented in folk songs. He identified with folk poets feeling of immediacy especially in translating rhythm and tone between different cultures, contrasting to the classical emphasis on content. Source material used in the study includes several recent theses and articles, as well as introductory articles to various editions of Herders work. Several Internet sources have also been used.
