Studentu loma interaktīvā, domāšanu veicinošā valodas studiju procesā

Abstract

Aizstāvēšanai sagatavotā bakalaura darba tēma ir: `Studentu loma interaktīvā, domāšanu veicinošā, studiju procesā`. Darba autora tēmas izvēli noteica vēlme ņemt aktīvu dalību mācību procesā, cītīgi vērot un noteikt studentu lomu šajā mācību procesā. Bakalaura darba mērķis ir atklāt interaktīvo aktivitāšu efektivitāti un vērot studentu dalību lekcijās: kurām aktivitātēm viņi dod priekšroku un kā viņi var ietekmēt savu studiju procesu. Lai iegūtu pētījumam nepieciešamos datus, Moderno Valodu fakultātē tika veikta mäcību procesa kā situācijas izpēte. Tika izstrādātas un studentiem izdalītas aptaujas anketas. Ar anketu palīdzību tika analizēta grupas savstarpējā mijiedarbība un tās teorētiskais pamatojums, studentu motivācija, kā arī dažādas cita veida aktivitātes. Aptaujas anketu analīzes rezultāti tiek apskatīti šī darba empīriskajā daļā. Teorētiskais pamatojums, , kas atspoguļots darba teorētiskajā daļā, ir balstīts uz bakalaura tēmai atbilstošās teorētiskās literatūras izpēti, aptverot arī `Daudzpusīgo Spēju` teoriju. Pētījumu rezultāti pierāda, ka studenti spēj ietekmēt savu mācību procesu, ar nosacījumu, ja viņi paši ņem tajā aktīvu dalību. Tajā pat laikā aptaujas anketu rezultāti parāda, ka lielākā daļa studentu nelabprāt uzdod jautājumus, ne arī atbild uz tiem, jo viņi ir vai nu pārak kautrīgi, vai arī baidās runāt svešvalodā auditorijas priekšā. The theme of the Bachelor Paper is: Students' Role in an Interactive, Thought-Provoking Study Process. The choice of the theme has been determined by the author of the paper in order to become an active participant in a study process, observe the lessons more carefully and identify the students' role in the learning process. The aim of the present BA Thesis is to explore the effectiveness of interactive activities and to find out how students participate during the lessons, which activities they prefer and how they can influence their studies. In order to collect the research data, a case study was performed at the Faculty of Modern Languages. During the research several questionnaires were designed and distributed among the students. The theoretical background of classroom interaction, students’ motivation and other kinds of activities has been analyzed. An analysis of the questionnaires is included in the empirical part of the paper. The theoretical background is based on research of relevant literature on interactive studies, Multiple Intelligences and different kind of activities which provide an interactive study process. The results of the research show that students can influence their study process, on the condition that they become active participants of the process. However, the result of the questionnaires shows that the majority of students like neither to ask questions, nor to give answers, as they are either shy or afraid to speak in the foreign language in front of others.
