Abstract

„Zoroastriešu terminoloģijas izpēte ķīniešu rakstītajos avotos” ir noslēguma darbs, kas iesniegts kā prasība humanitāro zinātņu maģistra grāda saņemšanai. Šī darba pamatmērķis ir izstrādāt visaptverošu pētījumu par zoroastrisma vēsturi Ķīnā, pētījumā īpaši izmantojot relevantas terminoloģijas analīzi. Šī tēmas izvēle pamatojas Ķīnas un ārpasaules attiecību vēstures konteksta augošajā popularitātē. Pētījuma gaitā tiek apstiprināts, ka ķīniešu avotos atspoguļotais zoroastrisms attiecas uz šīs reliģijas sinkrētisko un politeistisko formu, ko praktizēja un izplatīja sogdieši. Darbs sastāv no divām galvenajām daļām un četrām nodaļām. Darba apjoms ir 102 lappuses.

„A Survey of Zoroastrian Terminology in Chinese Written Sources” is a graduate thesis submitted in partial fulfilment of the requirements for the degree of Master of Arts. The main goal of this work is to develop a comprehensive study on the history of Zoroastrianism in China, specifically approaching this topic through the analysis of relevant terminology. The choice of this topic is substantiated by its emerging popularity in the context of history of relations between China and the outside world. Throughout the course of this study it is confirmed that Zoroastrianism portrayed in the Chinese sources relates to the syncretic and polytheistic form of this religion, practiced and transmitted by the Sogdian people. The study consists of two main parts and four chapters, with total length of 102 pages.
