Feminisma ideju diseminācija televīzijā un to ietekme uz Dienvidkorejas jauno sieviešu pašapziņu

Abstract

Feminisms ir bijis kaismīgu diskusiju, cīņu un kaislību objekts, brīžiem ticis aizmirsts, tad atkal nonācis uzmanības centrā. Šobrīd pasaulē tas ir tikpat kā nemanāms, jo kustības idejas asimilētas mūsdienu sabiedrības kopējā nostājā atsevišķi neizdalot. Tomēr Koreja un tās iedzīvotāji joprojām atrodas modernizācijas procesā. Šajā sabiedrībā dzīvojošie cilvēki ir lielisks pētījumu materiāls feminisma ideju attīstības un ietekmes analīzei. Šī maģistra darba mērķis ir izprast, kā Dienvidkorejas sievietes tiek galā ar sociālajām pārmaiņām un izprot savu ikdienas dzīvi un identitāti ar televīzijas kultūras starpniecību, ko ietekmē viņu sabiedriskais stāvoklis. Lai sasniegtu mērķi, darba autore izanalizēja Korejas un Rietumu literatūru par feminismu un televīziju, veica intervijas ar jaunām, neprecētā dažādu sociālo slāņu dienvidkorejietēm, apkopoja informāciju un pēc tās analīzes izdarīja secinājumus. Pētījums tika balstīts uz šādu hipotēzi: Feminisms ar televīzijas starpniecību ietekmē Dienvidkorejas jauno sieviešu pašapziņu. Pētījuma instruments – intervija, pētījuma metode – kvalitatīvā. Pētījuma gaitā autore noskaidroja, ka vairums interviju dalībnieču noliedz, ka būtu feministes, un noliedz pat pašu feminismu kā tādu, taču dziļākajā būtībā šīs jaunās sievietes runā kā feministes. Viņām pašām to neapzinoties, feminisma idejas ar televīzijas starpniecību ir tā iespiedušās viņu apziņā un pašapziņā, ka viņas būtībā ir kļuvušas par feministēm. Pētījuma ietvaros izvirzītā hipotēze apstiprinājās.

Feminism has been subject to heated discussions, fights and passions, at times it has been forgotten, then become the center of attention again. At the moment it has become almost invisible, because the ideas of this movement have been assimilated in the general stand of the society without highlighting them particularly. But South Korea and its citizens are still in the process of modernization. People living in this society are a great material for analyzing the development and influence of the ideas of feminism. Aim of this Master`s Thesis is to understand how South Korean women deal with the social changes and comprehend their everyday life and identity mediated by the TV culture that is influenced by their social position. To reach this aim, the author analyzed Korean and Western literature on feminism and TV, performed interviews with young, single South Korean women of different social positions, summarized the data, analyzed it and then drew conslusions. Research was based on the following hypothesis: Feminism influences the self-confidence/awareness of the South Korean young women, mediated by the television. Reserch tool – interview, research method – qualitative research. In the course of the research the author established that the majority of interviewees deny being feminists, even reject the feminist movement as such, but essentially these young women speak as feminists. Without their conscious knowledge, the ideas of feminism mediated by the television have permeated their consciousness and self-confidence to such degree that essentially they have become feminists. Research hypothesis was proven true.
