Komisko tēlu attēlojums Šekspīra traģēdijās (Lugās „Romeo un Džuljeta” un „Karalis Henrijs IV”)

Abstract

Šī pētījuma tēma ir „Komisko tēlu attēlojums Šekspīra traģēdijās (lugās ‘Romeo un Džulieta’ un ‘Karalis Henrijs IV’). Pētījums pārsvarā ir balstīts uz diviem šo lugu tēliem – Merkucio no lugas Romeo un Džulieta un Falstafu no lugas Karalis Henrijs IV. Šī darba mērķis ir pierādīt šo divu tēlu duālo būtību, tā kā tie ir attēloti ārpus komiskās vides. Merkucio parādās traģēdijā, taču Falstafs tiek attēlots vēsturiskā lugā un ir spiests sastapties ar traģēdiju personīgajā dzīvē. Veiksmīgai darba attīstībai darba autore ir izmantojusi dažādas pētījuma metodes. Pamatzināšanu iegūšanai par tēmu, autore ir izmantojusi kritisko literatūru, kā arī dažas Interneta lapas. Papildus informācijai, kas iegūta no šiem avotiem, autore darbā ir pievienojusi arī savus komentārus un secinājumus, kas balstīti uz lugu tekstu. Šī pētījuma gaitā autore ir centusies parādīt abu darbā aprakstīto tēlu personību duālo būtību. Abi šie tēli ir ļoti sarežģīti, un tas pieļauj dažādas šo tēlu interpretācijas un turpmāku pētniecību. Jau šī pētījuma ietvaros radās tēmas, kuras būtu vērts pētīt tālāk. Viena no tām būtu valoda, ko autors ir izmantojis tēlu izteiksmes veidam, kā arī lugu teksta interpretācijas filmu, teātra izrāžu, kā arī citu literāru darbu pēc šo lugu motīviem veidā.

The theme of this research is “Representation of Comic Characters in Shakespeare’s Tragic Tradition (Plays ‘Romeo and Juliet’ and ‘King Henry IV’). The research deals particularly with two characters from these plays – Mercutio from Romeo and Juliet and Falstaff from King Henry IV. The goal of this research is to prove the dual nature of these two characters, as they are presented outside comic surrounding. Mercutio is presented in a tragedy while Falstaff appears in a historical play and faces a personal tragedy. Therefore, these characters suit best for the topic of this research. For successful development of the research, the author has used several methods to reach the goal. First, critical literature was used to get the background knowledge of the subject. Second, some Internet sources were used, however, their impact of the research is not crucial. Thirdly, the author has made individual commentaries based on the text of the plays. In this research the author has made an attempt to prove the hypothesis and portray the duality of the characters’ personalities. In the course of writing this paper it became clear that study of these characters might never be complete. Already in the scope of this work, there appear issues that could be researched further, for example, the particular language of the characters and the interpretations of the plays, like movies, theatre productions, other literary works based on these plays and some other.
