Abstract

Jana Petročenkova „Dziesmu un skaitāmpantu izmantošana vārdu krājuma bagātināšanai sākumskolā”. Diplomdarbs. Darba vadītāja: Inese Ozola, Lekt. Diplomdarba apjoms ir 67 lapaspuses. Darba mērķis ir pētīt vai dziesmas un skaitāmpanti ir nozīmīgi angļu valodas stundās sākumskolā kā vārdu krājuma bagātināšanas veids. Pētniecības metodes: teorētiskās literatūras analīze, gadījuma pētījums (case study), aptaujas veikšana, stundu novērošana. Darba struktūra: darbs ietver piecas nodaļas, kurās autors uzsver klausīšanās uzdevumu nozīmību mācoties svešvalodu, paskaidro atmiņas darbības principus un iepazīstina ar leksikas mācīšanas metodiku. Autors uzsver dziesmu un skaitāmpantu nozīmi bērnu valodas attīstībā. Darba rezultātā autors analizēja teorētisko literatūru, veica divus pētījumus, kuri apliecina, ka dziesmas ir veids, kas veicina vārdu krājuma bagātināšanu sākumskolas bērniem mācoties svešvalodu un izveidoja stundu plānus ar dziesmām kā papildmateriālus esošajai mācību grāmatai.

Jana Petročenkova “Using Songs and Chants for Vocabulary Enrichment in the Primary School”. Diploma Paper. Adviser: Inese Ozola, lect. The paper contains 67 pages and appendices. 41 Bibliography sources were used to make a research and to write the paper. The aim of research is to investigate if activities based on songs and chants are a useful tool for vocabulary enrichment for primary school students. The methods of research: the secondary research, case study, questionnaire, observation. The outline of the paper: the paper contains five chapters in which the author describes the importance of listening tasks in language learning, discusses the work of memory and presents the techniques for introducing, practising and testing vocabulary. The author emphasizes the role of songs and chants for young learners when learning vocabulary. As the result of the research the author analysed the theoretical literature on songs and chants in ELT for primary school students, studied and proved the positive experience of using songs and chants for vocabulary enrichment in the primary school, analysed two questionnaires and devised lesson plans with songs and chants as supplementary materials for the course book.
