Intertekstualitāte un humors Deivida Lodža romānā "Mazā pasaule"

Abstract

Bakalaura darbs pēta humora un Intertekstualitātes klātbūtni Deivida Lodža romānā „Maza pasaule” . Romāns aplūkots postmodernisma kontekstā, kas ir dominējoša tendence 20. gadsimta literatūrā un kultūrā. Darbā ir minēti citāti un alūzijas no dažādu periodu literārajiem darbiem, jo īpaši pievēršot uzmanību paralēlēm ar karaļa Artūra leģendām. Pētījums uzskatāmi atklāj, ka romānā ir sižeta elementi un personāži ,kas mantoti no bruņinieku romāniem par Karali Artūru, jo īpaši tiem, kuros attēloti Svētā Grāla meklējumi.Romānu var uzskatīt par saskaņā ar postmodernisma principiem veidotu parodiju par karaļa Artūra leģendām.

The BA Paper investigates the presence of intertextuality and humor in David Lodge’s novel Small World. The novel has been viewed in the context of postmodernism, which is the dominant trend in the 20th century literature and culture. The paper traces citations and allusions to literary works of various periods, especially focusing on the parallels to the Arthurian legends. The research demonstrates that the novel contains plot elements and characters that are derived from Arthurian romances, especially those dealing with the quest for the Holy Grail, yet it may be considered a parody of the Arthurian literature, confirming with the principles of post-modernism.
