| en_US |
dc.description.abstract | Biochemical methane potential from hydrolyzed lignocellulosic biomass (conventional lime sawdust and winter rapeseed straw) was investigated. Three different lignocelluloses biomass pretreatment methods were used – biological, chemical and physiochemical. Pretreated biomass was anaerobically fermented for 30 days in 100 ml serum bottles. Depending on biogas formation rate, gas amount quantitative measurements were done. Relatively high methane yield was obtained from all pretreated substrates, but there were methane accumulation rate differences from some substrates. According to the obtained data particular method effectiveness cannot be unequivocally assessed due to biomass organic dry matter amount and microbiological seed material quality. Comparing each method’s efficiency with raw biomass incubated in the same conditions, the highest methane potential was established from steam pretreated biomass. | en_US |
