Projektu darbs: starpkultūru aspekts

Abstract

Šodienas realitāte liecina, ka katrs no mums ir daļa no lielās kopienas, ko saucam par pasauli, kurā angļu valoda tiek lietota saziņā kā lingua franca. Taču jāapzinās, ka angļu valodas prasme dzimtās valodas līmenī vien vai tuvu tam, nepalīdzēs sazināties ar citu kultūru pārstāvjiem, jo izšķiroša nozīme ir starpkultūru izpratnei. Šī darba mērķis ir analizēt skolēnu starpkultūru izpratni, piedaloties projektu darbā. Tādēļ autors veic situācijas izpēti, lai analizētu skolēnu starpkultūru zināšanas un to attīstību piedaloties tiešā kontakta projektu darbā. Autors secina, ka skolēniem piedaloties tiešā kontakta līdzīgos projektos, viņi ir ieguvēji vairākos veidos, bet vissvarīgākais – tiek attīsta starpkultūru izpratne.

Today’s reality shows that each of us is a part of a large community, which is called the world, where English, as a lingua franca, is used as means of communication. However, one has to be aware that native or near native fluency alone will not necessarily help native or non-native speakers of a language successfully communicate with people from other cultures, intercultural understanding is crucial. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the process of developing learners’ intercultural competence during project work. The author carries out a case study, in order to analyze the process of developing learners’ intercultural competence during online project work. The author comes to conclusion that enabling learners to be a part of similar online projects is a great benefit in many ways and most importantly it develops their intercultural competence.
