Politiskais diskurss Luisa MakNeisa dzejā

Abstract

Šajā darbā tiek aplūkots politiskais diskurss īru dzejnieka Luī Maknīsa (1907–1963) dzejā, kas sarakstīta laika posmā no 1925. līdz 1948. gadam. Darba gaitā tiek konstatēta un atbilstoši analizēta šādu tēmu izpausme Luī Maknīsa dzejā: ideoloģijas, dažādu valstu politikas, indivīda attiecības ar varu, dzejnieka pārdomas par indivīdu kritisko domāšanu. Tiek secināts, ka, izmantojot konkrētus nesemantiskos izteiksmes līdzekļus, dzejnieks pievērš uzmanību un izceļ dzejoļu semantisko nozīmi, kam ir arī nozīme vēstījuma paušanā. Vienlaicīgi tiek secināts, kuri ir visbiežāk lietotie nesemantiskie līdzekļi Luī Maknīsa dzejā. Pēc iepazīšanās ar teorētisko literatūru par dzeju un politiku, kā arī ar Luī Maknīsa dzejas kritiku autore šajā darbā analizē dzejoļus, īpašu uzmanību pievēršot valodas semantisko un nesemantisko līdzekļu mijiedarbībai. Lai gan politiskā diskursa tēmas un to semantiskie līdzekļi Luī Maknīsa dzejā, kas sarakstīta laika posmā no 1925. līdz 1948. gadam, mainās, nesemantisko līdzekļu lietojums paliek nemainīgs.

The paper deals with the political discourse in Irish born poet’s Louis MacNeice (1907–1963) poetry of 1925-1948. The themes of ideology, political policies, the relationship between individual and power as well as the contemplations on individual’s critical thinking are considered in Louis MacNeice’s poetry and subsequently crystallized and analysed. It is concluded by means of which non-semantic means the poet highlights and singles out the semantic meaning and conveys his message. Simultaneously, it is understood which non-semantic means prevail in MacNeice’s poetry. The method of the research comprises a review of theoretical literature on the poetics, politics, and criticism of Louis MacNeice’s poetry, as well as the close-reading of Louis MacNeice’s poetry examining the interaction of language’s semantic and non-semantic structures – poems content and form. The paper proves that although the themes of political discourse and the semantic means used in Louis MacNeice’s poetry of the period of 1925-1948 vary the non-semantic means remain distinctly unchanged.
