Angļu valodas leksikas mācīšana pamatskolā, izmantojot video un subtitrus

Abstract

Bakalaura darbs pēta angļu valodas leksikas mācīšanu pamatskolā, izmantojot video un subtitrus. Pētījuma mērķis bija novērot video un subtitru efektivitāti leksikas mācīšanas un mācīšanās procesā. Darba teorētiskā daļa ietver leksikas mācīšanas un mācīšanās procesa, kā arī video un subtitru izmantošanu valodas stundās, izpēti. Empīriskā gadījuma pētījuma gaitā pamatskolā tika novadītas trīs angļu valodas stundas. Rezultāti pierādīja, ka vārdu izpratnes kontekstā stratēģijas un video un subtitru izmantošana var būt motivējošs faktors, kā arī veicināt angļu valodas leksikas apguvi.

The thesis is devoted to the research on teaching English language vocabulary at basic school through video and subtitles. The purpose of the research was to examine the efficiency of video and subtitles on vocabulary teaching and learning. The theoretical part of the thesis comprises research on vocabulary teaching and learning as well as the use of video and subtitles in the language classroom. The empirical part of the thesis was a case study in which three lessons were piloted and the results were later analysed. The results proved that the most efficient vocabulary learning strategy was guessing from context, which combined with the use of video and subtitles in the class can improve the learners’ motivation to study and facilitate the acquisition of vocabulary.
