Bakalaura darba nosaukums ir „Kristietība Sīrijā XX – XXI gadsimtā”. Kristietības aizsākumi meklējami Tuvajos Austrumos, no kurienes tā izplatījās pa visu pasauli. Darba autore pievērsās tās izpētei Sīrijā, vienā no Tuvo Austrumu valstīm. Bakalaura darba mērķis ir izpētīt kādas kristietības konfesijas tajā pastāv mūsdienās un noteikt kristieša statusu un lomu valsts dzīvē. Darba rezultātā autore secina, ka, pirmkārt, Sīrijā visvairāk ir pārstāvētās kristietības konfesijas ir Asīriešu Austrumu Baznīca, Antiohijas un Visu Austrumu Grieķu ortodoksā Baznīca, Sīriešu ortodoksā Antiohijas Baznīca, Armēņu apustuliskā Baznīca. Sīriešu katoliskā Antiohijas Baznīca, Haldiešu katoliskā Baznīca, Melkītu katoliskā Baznīca un Nacionālā evaņģēliskā Sīrijas un Libānas sinode. Otrkārt, no vienas puses sīriešu kristieši pārstāv viņu etnisko arābu identitāti, bet no otras – kristietības ideālus, kas nāk no rietumiem. Treškārt, sīriešu kristieši darbojas politiskajā dzīvē līdzās musulmaņiem. Bakalaura darba apjoms ir 46 lappuses, autore izmantojusi 22 informācijas avotus. The title of the bachelor’s work is „Christianity in Syria in XX – XXI Centuries”. Christianity originally comes from the Middle East, from where it spread throughout all the World. The authoress of this work focused on research about Christianity in Syria, one of the countries in the Middle East. The objective of this bachelor’s work is to find out which Christian denominations exist in Syria and to define the status and role of the Christian in the state’s life. As a result authoress infers, that, firstly, the most represented Christian denominations in Syria are The Assyrian Church of the East, The Greek orthodox Patriarchate of Antioch and All the East, The Syriac Orthodox Patriarchate of Atioch and All the East, The Armenian Apostolic Church, The Syriac Catholic Church, The Chaldean Catholic Church, The Melkite Catholic Church and The National Evangelical Synod of Syria and Lebanon. Secondly, from one side Syrian Christians own their Arab qualities, but from the other side – the ideals of the Western Christianity. Thirdly, Syrian Christians participate in politics side by side with the Muslims. Amount of bachelor’s work is 46 pages. The authoress has used 22 sorts of information.
