Nāvessods Ķīnas Tautas Republikā

Abstract

Bakalaura darbs „Nāvessods Ķīnas Tautas Republikā” ir veltīts Ķīnas Tautas Republikas (1949 - ) nāvessoda situācijas tuvākai izpētei. Mūsdienās šis temats visā pasaulē ir ļoti aktuāls, jo Ķīnā izpildīto nāvessodu skaits katru gadu sasniedz vairākus tūkstošus. Tas ir vairāk nekā visā pasaulē kopā. Ķīnas tiesu sistēma ir nežēlīga un nāvessodi tiek piespriesti ne tikai par vardarbīgiem pārkāpumiem, bet arī par ekonomiskiem. Pasauli uztrauc arī tas, kas Ķīnā pret uz nāvi notiesātajiem netiek ievērotas daudzas cilvēka pamattiesības. Darba galvenie uzdevumi ir izpētīt nāvessoda iemeslus, tā iezīmes, apskatīt pārkāpumus par kuriem tiek piešķirts nāvessods, apskatīt nāvessoda metodes, ieskatīties pēdējā laikā rediģētajos likumos, izpētīt statistiku. Darbs sadalīts divās daļās.

The bachelor degree assignment “Death penalty in People’s Republic of China” is devoted to exploring the death penalty situation in People’s Republic of China (1949 - ). Nowadays, this subject is a major concern all around the world because the number of executions in China amounts to several thousand. This is more than in the whole world put together. China's judicial system is cruel and death sentences are not sentenced only for violent offenses, but also for economic. It has been a global concern that human rights have not been taken into considaration towards the ones who are sentenced to death. The basic objectives of the thesis are to investigate the reasons for the death penalty; its’ traits; look at offenses of which death penalty is applied; look at capital punishment methods; look at recent edited laws; and explore the statistics. The thesis is divided into two parts.
