Abstract

Bakalaura darba nosaukums ir „Tulkošanas vēsture un laba tulkojuma principi. Franču-angļu-latviešu valodas idiomu vārdnīca”. Bakalaura darbs sastāv no 77 lapām, 4 pielikumiem. Darbā ir izmantoti 155 literatūras avoti. Bakalaura darba mērķis ir apskatīt tulkošanas vēsturi, apskatīt tulkošanas attīstības potenciālu, laba rakstiskā tulkojuma principus, kā arī izstrādāt franču-latviešu-angļu valodas idiomu vārdnīcu. Darbs sastāv no trīs nodaļām ar apakšnodaļām. Pirmajā nodaļā autors apskata tulkošanas vēsturi. Otrajā nodaļā tiek aprakstīti laba rakstiska tulkojuma principi. Trešajā nodaļā ir izstrādāta franču-angļu-latviešu idiomu vārdnīca. Nobeigumā uz izstrādātā darba pamata veikti secinājumi un izvirzītas hipotēzes par turpmāko tulkošanas jomas attīstību.

The title of the bachelor’s paper is „History of translation and principles of a good translation. French-English-Latvian dictionary of idioms”. The paper is 77 pages long, contains 4 appendices. The paper is based on 155 sources. The aim of the paper is to examine the history of translation, to examine the potential of development of translation, principles of a good written translation, as well as to elaborate a French-English-Latvian dictionary of idioms. The paper consists of 3 chapters with subchapters. In the first chapter the author deals with the history of translation. In the second chapter the author describes the principles of a good translation. In the third chapter a French-English-Latvian dictionary of idioms is elaborated. In the conclusion, deductions have been made, and hypotheses about further development of translation field have been put forward.
