Dokumentālo filmu tulkošanas aspekti

Abstract

Diplomdarba mērķis ir izzināt dokumentālo filmu tulkošanas aspektus un noteikt tulkošanas procesā izmantojamās stratēģijas. Pētnieciskajā darbā izmantotās metodes ir gan teorētiskas, gan praktiskas, iekļaujot teorētisko materiālu izpēti par dokumentālo filmu scenāriju rakstīšanas specifiku un dokumentālo filmu scenāriju un to tulkojumu praktisko analīzi. Diplomdarba praktiskā daļa liecina, ka ir nepieciešams izmantot tādas tulkošanas stratēģijas kā dzēšana, pievienošana, gramatiskā transformācija un izvēle netulkot tekstu. Papildus tam, dokumentālo filmu tulkošanai nepieciešama kompetence un vispārējas zināšanas, lai nodrošinātu veiksmīgu tulkojumu šajā filmu žanrā, kas kalpo kā liecība par mūsu laiku un sasniegumiem.

The purpose of the diploma paper is to explore the main aspects of documentary film translation and to determine the strategies that are used in the translation process. The methods used in research are both theoretical and practical, including study of theoretical material about documentary film script writing and other characteristics, as well as practical analysis of documentary film scripts and their translations. The practical part demonstrates that it is necessary to use specific translation strategies such as deletion, addition, grammatical transformation, zero translation. In addition, documentary film translation requires competence and general knowledge to guarantee a successful rendition of this film genre, which acts as an evidence of our time and our achievements.
