Starpkultūru aspekti vācu faktologisko preses rakstu tulkojumos latviešu valodā

Abstract

Šajā diplomdarbā aplūkota aktuāla tēma – starpkultūru aspektu loma tulkošanā. Diplomdarba mērķis ir noskaidrot un ar uzskatāmiem piemēriem ilustrēt, kādi un kā starpkultūru aspekti ietekmē vācu faktoloģisko preses tekstu tulkojumu latviešu valodā. Empīriskajā pētījumā izmantoti 10 vācu laikraksta „Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung” raksti un to tulkojumi latviešu valodā. Diplomdarba pirmajā daļā autore aplūko būtiskākās teorētiskās atziņas par faktoloģiskajiem preses tekstiem un to nozīmi starptautiskajā un starpkultūru informācijas apritē, šī tekstu tipa tulkošanas metodi, kultūras jēdzienu un kultūras lomu preses tekstu tulkošanā. Darba otrajā daļā autore ataino tulkošanas gaitā konstatētos starpkultūru aspektus - valodas normu atšķirības, piemēram, citvalodu personvārdu atveide latviešu valodā, intralingvālos faktorus, piemēram, noteiktai kultūrai raksturīgās reālijas un īpašvārdus, simbolisko izteiksmes veidu, kā arī ekstralingvālos faktorus, piemēram, noteiktai kultūrai raksturīgo vērtību izpratni un faktus, un raksturo ar tiem saistītās tulkošanas problēmas un iespējamos risinājumus. Darba gaitā secināts, ka, lai veiktu kvalitatīvu preses tekstu tulkojumu, saglabājot teksta saturu pēc iespējas tuvāku oriģinālam, ņemot vērā lasītāja kultūru un nodrošinot to, ka teksts ir saprotams, ir būtiski ņemt vērā šādus starpkultūru aspektus un izmantot attiecīgas tulkošanas stratēģijas (funkcionāli-pragmatiskā tulkošana, pielāgošana mērķauditorijas interesēm un kultūrai) un metodes (paskaidrojumus, semantisko pārveidošanu u.c.).

The present diploma paper deals with a topical subject – the role of intercultural aspects in translation. The goal of the paper is to find out and illustrate what aspects and in what way influence translation of German factual press texts into Latvian. The empirical study is based on 10 articles of the newspaper „Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung” and their translation into Latvian. In the first part of the paper the author presents the major theoretical concepts on factual press texts and their role in international and intercultural information exchange, the methods of translating texts of the described type, the notion and role of culture in translation of press texts. The second part of the paper discusses intercultural aspects – differences of language norms, for example transliteration of foreign names into Latvian, intraligual factors, for example, realias and proper names characteristic to a certain culture, symbolic means of expression, as well as extralingual factors, for example, perception of values and facts characteristic to a certain culture, and describes related translation problems and possible solutions. In the framework of study for the present paper it is been concluded, that in order to ensure quality translation of press texts, keeping the content as close to the original as possible, taking into account the culture of the reader and ensuring that the text is understandable, it is necessary to take into account intercultural aspects and use corresponding translation strategies (functionally-pragmatic translation, adaptation to interests and culture of the target audience) and methods (explanations, semantic transformation, etc.)
