Nemirstība Annas Raisas romānā „Intervija ar vampīru”

Abstract

Šajā darbā tiek pētīta tēma “Nemirstība Annas Raisas romānā Intervija ar vampīru.” Šī pētījuma mērķis ir noskaidrot nemirstības negatīvo aspektu atainojumu, kas atrodami romānā Intervija ar vampīru. Teorētiskās daļas ietvaros tiek sniegta informācija par, nemirstības idejām reliģiskā, psiholoģiskā un sabiedriskā kontekstā, vampīra tēla attīstību mitoloģijā, folklorā, prozā un dzejā un Annas Raisas biogrāfiju. Darba otrajā daļā autore secina, ka romāns Intervija ar vampīru ir piemērs uzskatam, ka cilvēki nav radīti fiziskai nemirstībai uz šīs zemes un viņiem tādēļ nevajadzētu censties to iegūt.

In the present BA paper the theme ‘Immortality in Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire’ has been researched. The goal of this paper is to investigate the negative aspects immortality in Interview with the Vampire. Theoretical part presents information on the idea of immortality in the context of religion, psychology and society, and the development of the image of a vampire in mythology, folklore, prose and poetry, and also Anne Rice’s biography. The analytical part presents the analysis of negative aspects of immortality in Interview with the Vampire. The author concludes that Interview with the vampire is an example of the notion that humans are not designed for immortality in a physical form on the Earth and should not try to attain it.
