| dc.description.abstract | Šī Bakalaura darba tēma ir ‘Metafora reklāmās’. Darba mērķis ir atrast metaforas drukātajās reklāmās un analizēt, kādas metaforas ir izmantotas visbiežāk un kāda ir metaforu funkcija reklāmās. Darba teorētiskajā daļā tika savākts un analizēts materiāls par reklāmu un reklāmas diskursu,kā arī izpētīts metaforas jēdziens. Darba empīriskajā daļā tika izmantota diskursa analīze, lai izpētītu metaforu lietojumu reklāmās. Analīzes rezultāti pierāda, ka reklāmās visbiežāk ir lietotas lingvistiskās un vizuālās metaforas, taču arī konceptuālās un mirušās metaforas gadījumi ir atrodami reklāmās.

| dc.description.abstract | The topic of this Bachelor’s Thesis is ‘Metaphor in Advertising’. The aim of the thesis is to find metaphors in print advertisements and analyze which particular metaphors are used, and what purpose metaphors serve in the advertisements. The theoretical part contains the study on advertising and advertising discourse, and the research on the notion of metaphor. The empirical part of this research was carried out as discourse analysis. The results of the analysis showed that advertisements most frequently contain linguistic and visual metaphors; however, also instances of conceptual metaphor and dead metaphor were found.
