Konceptuālās metaforas lietojums datorvalodā

Abstract

Mūsdienās tehnoloģijas ieņem nozīmīgu lomu ļoti daudzu cilvēku dzīvē, un laiks, kad tās bija informācijas tehnoloģiju speciālistu prioritāte ir pagājis. Šīs izmaiņas ir iemesls tam, ka ir parādījušies daudzi žurnāli, kas specializējas informācijas tehnoloģiju jomā. Tā kā daļa lasītāju nav datorspeciālisti, rakstu valodai ir jābūt viegli uztveramai, jo liels datorterminu daudzums var apgrūtināt informācijas uztveri. Tādēļ pētījumā tika analizētas orientācijas un ontoloģiskās metaforas kā instruments ideacionālās funkcijas attīstīšanā, balstoties uz Dž. Lakofa un M. A. K. Halideja teorijām. Pētījums tika vērsts uz tādiem mērķa domēniem kā datordrošība un programmu interfeiss. Pētījuma rezultātā tika pierādīts, ka informācijas tehnoloģiju žurnālu raksti konceptuālās metaforas lietojuma rezultātā veicina valodas izpratni. Tas tiek panākts ar iztēles shēmām orientacionālas metaforas līmenī un ar mijiedarbību starp dažādiem ontoloģiskās metaforas veidiem.

Technologies are an integral part of life for a great number of people, and the time when only information technology specialists had the interest in computers are over. This has been the reason for the creation of technical journals where everyone is able to get acquainted with the latest information in the IT field. So, the language of the articles has to be easily understandable and technical terms have to be explained. Due to this reason the current research studied the conceptual metaphor as the tool of the ideational function, in terms of the theories of G. Lakoff and M. A. K. Halliday. The target domains under analysis were the computer interface and the computer security. The research resulted in the findings that the orientational and ontological metaphors are interacting and make the language readily perceivable. That was achieved with the presence of strong image-schemas of orientational metaphor and the interaction between various types of the ontological metaphor.
