Ētiskie standarti humanitāro un sociālo zinātņu tekstu tulkošanā

Abstract

Maģistra darbs ar nosaukumu „Ētiskie standarti humanitāro un sociālo zinātņu tekstu tulkošanā“ atspoguļo problēmas, kas rodas, veicot ētiski pamatoto izvēli tulkošanās procesā. Nekontrolējamā situācija Latvijā tulku un tulkotāju darbībā un stingri ar to saistītā speciālistu atbildības sajūta ir šīs tēmas izvēles pamatojums. Darbā tiek aplūkotas iespējamās teorijas, kas spēs palīdzēt tulkotājam atrast tulkošanas procesam nepieciešamās ētiskas robežas. Darbā tiek apskatīti vairāki tulkošanas noteikumi, kā arī tiek konstatēta to neviennozīmība vai pretrunība. Maģistra darba praktiskajā daļā tiek analizēti publiskās runas tulkojumi, kā arī tiek apskatīti šādu tulkojumu iespējamie kļūdu cēloņi. Darbs izstrādāts, pamatojoties uz teorētiskajiem literatūras avotiem, kuri ir norādīti literatūras sarakstā, un uz autores personīgo pieredzi. Tulkojuma teksti ir pievienoti pielikumā.

The masterwork with the title “Ethical Norms in Translating Human and Social Science Texts” displays the problems which appear making an ethically established choice in the translating process. The uncontrolled situation of translator´s work in Latvia is closely connected with this feeling of responsibility is the case of choosing the the topic. In the masterwork possible theories are described which will be able to help finding necessary ethical borders during the translation process. In the masterwork there is a dintinction between several translation norms and are stated their uniqueness or contradiction. In the practical part of the masterwork translations of a public speech are being analyzed, as well as purposes of such translations. The masterwork is based on theoretical literature sources which are based on the literature list and on the author´s own experience. The texts of translations are attached in the appendix.
