Mīts par samuraju kinematogrāfā un tā izcelsme

Abstract

Bakalaura darbs ir veltīts idealizētā samuraja tēla jeb mīta par samuraju izpētei. Tajā tiek apskatīta mīta par samuraju rašanās Tokugava perioda Japānā, tā cēloņi un sekas. Darbs īpaši koncentrējas uz kinomākslu kā mediju, kas šo mītu uztur un popularizē. Apskatot tuvāk japāņu samuraju kinofilmas, kā arī Rietumos veidotās filmas, kuru varoņi ir samuraji, tiek pētīts, kā Tokugava periodā radušais mīts tiek pārņemts kinomākslā. Šis darbs nemēģina lauzt pastāvošo idealizētā samuraja tēlu, bet gan attēlo dominējošo samuraja tēlu kinematogrāfā un iemeslus, kāpēc laika gaitā tas ir ieguvis tieši šādu veidolu.

Bachelor paper is dedicated to the analysis of the idealized image of samurai, namely, myth of the samurai. It examines the beginning of the myth in Tokugawa period Japan, its ground and effects. Work especially concentrates on cinematograph as maintainer and distributor of this myth. Examining closer Japanese samurai films and also films about samurai made in the West, paper shows how myth of the samurai, made in Tokugawa Japan, continues to be very alive. This work is not attempt to break the existing myth of idealized samurai but shows the dominant image of the samurai expressed through the movies and reasons why especially this image has become the main image of the samurai.
