Baklaura darbā, kura tēma ir “Zudušās Cerības 19.gs Reālistiskajā romānā” ir atspoguļota vēsturiskā situācija 19. gs Anglijā un Francijā, šī laikmeta autori un viņu darbos atspoguļotie notkumi un varoņi. Bakalaura darbā tiek analizēti Čārlza Dikensa, Tomasa Hārdina un Gustava Flobēra darbi, pievēršot uzmanību indivīda un sabiedrības attiecībām. Izpētes gaitā tiek konstatēta indivīda un sabiedrības savstarpējo attiecību mūžīguma tēma, atspoguļotas indivīda cerības un analizēti vilšanās iemesli

The BA paper – “The Theme of Lost Hopes in the 19th Century Realistic Novel” - investigates the background of the 19th century, authors and their works of that time; investigates how the events depicted in novels link with the historical background and analyse the originality of the characters, of their hopes and failures. BA paper analyses works of Charles Dickens, Thomas Hardy and Gustavo Flaubert, investigating the relations of the society and the individual. The investigation shows the eternity of the theme of the relations between society and individual, reveals the hopes of the individual and analyses the causes of their failures.
