Skolēnu motivācijas veicināšana valodas mācīšanas un mācīšanās procesā

Abstract

Diplomdarbā “Skolēnu motivācijas veicināšana valodas mācīšanas un mācīšanās procesā” pētītas dažādas pieejas jēdziena “motivācija” skaidrošanā. Darbā analizētas skolēnu motivācijas veicināšanas iespējas un veidi, mācot svešvalodu. Visbeidzot darbā analizētas praksē izmantotās pieejas skolēnu motivācijas veicināšanā valodas mācīšanas un mācīšanās procesā. Pētījuma nolūks ir iepazīties ar visefektīvākajiem studentu motivēšanas veidiem. Pētījums iepazīstina ar autores praktisko pieredzi un situācijām, kādās var nonākt skolotājs, sākot darbu jaunā vietā. Praktiskajā daļā analizēti autorei pieņemamākie motivēšanas faktori. Darbā izmantota gadījuma pētīšanas metode (veicot ieguldījumu konkrētu skolēnu motivēšanā), kā arī analizētā teorētiskā literatūra par motivēšanu valodas apguvē. Pētījums ļauj secināt, ka sekmīgs darbs angļu valodas stundās var notikt, skolotājam un skolēniem savstarpēji pieņemot vienam otru, kā arī skolotājam esot par paraugu saviem audzēkņiem. Tāpat skolotājam jāveic pētījums, kādi ir galvenie motivējošie faktori, kas ietekmē skolēnus, un rezultāti jāizmanto skolēnu motivācijas uzlabošanā.

The diploma paper “Promoting Learners Motivation in Language Learning and Teaching” reports on different interpretations of the term “motivation”. It analyses ways or improvement of students’ motivation and approaches in motivating students in language teaching and learning education. There is an analysis of tactics/factors applied practically in promoting learners’ motivation in the English language learning and teaching. The purpose of the research paper is to explore the most effective ways for motivating students. The research presents author’s practical experience what situations one can meet after begging to work in a new place (school). Acceptable factors (for the author of current paper) of motivation have been analyzed in the practical part. Methods used for the research were the following: analysis of theoretical literature on motivation and case study (to investigate in particular student’s motivation). The research has led to conclusions that successful work in the English language classroom can be implemented through acceptance of students as human beings and the teacher as an example. A teacher should research, what are the main motivational factors that influence his/her students and use the results in promoting students’ motivation.
