Īpašvārdi: problēmas un risinājumi mutiskajā tulkošanā

Abstract

Diplomdarba “Īpašības vārdi: problēmas un risinājumi mutiskajā tulkošanā” pirmajā nodaļā sniegts pārskats par citvalodu īpašvārdu atveides paņēmieniem latviešu valodā sinhronā un diahronā aspektā, par galvenajām atveides teorētiskajām problēmām un likumdošanas bāzi, kas atveidi reglamentē mūsdienās. Darba otrā nodaļa sniedz nelielu pārskatu par īpašvārdu grupām un detalizēti pievēršas antroponīmu, ģeonīmu un citu īpašvārdu atveides iespējām atkarībā no piederības katrai grupai. Papildus īsumā ieskicētas problēmas, ar kādām tulkošanā var nākties saskarties ar īpašvārdiem eponīmos un frazeoloģismos.

The first chapter of the diploma paper „Proper Nouns: Problems and Solutions in Interpreting” examines methods of rendering foreign-language proper nouns into Latvian in synchronic and diachronic views, the main theoretical problems of such rendering and the legal basis that sets the framework for rendering of foreign-language proper nouns into Latvian in the modern days. The second chapter gives a summary on the different groups of proper nouns and explores in detail the rendering methods of anthroponyms, geonyms and other proper nouns into Latvian. Additionally, this paper outlines the problems that an interpreter can encounter when translating proper nouns in eponyms and idioms.
