Abstract

Rīga, Latvijas Universitāte, Ģeogrāfijas un Zemes zinātņu fakultāte. 59 lpp. Bakalaura darbā ir mēģināts rekonstruēt Tērvetes un Mūru svītu veidošanās apstākļus pēc sedimentoloģiskās un paleontoloģiskās izpētes datiem, izmantojot pieejamo literatūru un vairāku atsegumu nogulumu pētījumu. Sniegts pētījuma gaitā veikto lauka darbu, granulomerisko un paleontoloģisko datu iegūšanai un apstrādei izmantoto metožu apraksts. Mūru svītas atsegumos Vilces un Šķēdes krastos, kā arī Tērvetes svītas atsegumā Skujaines krastā ir noņemti 27 paraugi granulometriskai un paleontoloģiskai analīzei, kas kopā ar sedimentoloģiskiem datiem ļāva precizēt paleoģeogrāfiskos un nogulu uzkrāšanās apstākļus Spārnenes reģionālajā laikmetā. Pirmo reizi Mūru svītas smilšakmeņos atrastas pēdu fosilijas, abu svītu nogulumi satur bagātīgus mugurkaulnieku kompleksus, bet Mūru svīta – arī marīno bezmugurkaulnieku atliekas un to sakopojumus.

Vazdiķe R. 2009. Deposition environment during the Devonian Tērvete and Mūri time. Bachelor thesis. Rīga, University of Latvia, Faculty of Geography and Earth Sciences. 59 pp. Deposition environment during the Tērvete and Mūri time has been reconstructed on the base of sedimentological and palaeontological data, using previously published literature and studies of several outcrops. The paper contains a short description of gained material, field- work and laboratory methods used for achievement of the goal. Totally 27 samples for the grain size and palaeontological analyses were gathered from the outcrops of the Mūri Formation along the Vilce and Šķēde rivers, as well as from the Tērvete Formation along the Skujaine River. Their analysis together with the sedimentological data allowed correct palaeogeographical conditions and deposition environment during the Spārnene Regional Stage. Ichnofossils have been found for the first time in sandstones of the Mūri Formation. Both formations contain a rich vertebrate assemblage, and Mūri Formation also yields separate fossils and accumulations of marine invertebrates.
