Elipse angļu virsrakstos

Abstract

Bakalaura darbs “Elipse angļu virsrakstos”, 2010-52 lapas. Darbā ir apskatīta elipses izmantošana angļu valodā, elipses tipi, tās iedalījums un funkcijas, kā arī tiek pētīti elipses gadījumi BBC ziņu portālā. Bakalaura darbs sastāv no trīs nodaļām un no tām izrietošām apakšnodaļām. Pirmajā nodaļā ir aprakstīta reducēšana kā gramatisks fenomens. Otrajā nodaļā tiek izklāstīta informācija par reducēšanas veidiem un elipsi kā vienu no tiem, elipses funkcijām, tās iedalījumu, kā arī īpašiem elipses veidiem. Trešajā nodaļā aprakstīts empīriskais pētījums un iegūtie dati, kas apskata artikulu un palīgdarbības vārdu be un have reducēšanas gadījumus BBC ziņu portāla virsrakstos. Darbā ir iekļauts pielikums, izmantotās literatūras saraksts.

The paper describes the use of ellipsis in the English language, the types, classification and their function, and investigates the occurrence of ellipsis in the BBC news site. The paper consists of three chapters and several subchapters. The first chapter describes reduction as a grammatical phenomenon. The second chapter deals with the types of reduction and ellipsis as one of it, function of ellipsis, and special types of ellipsis. The third chapter presents the empirical investigation and findings on the cases of omission of articles and auxiliaries be and have in the headlines taken from the BBC news site. Appendix and a list of references are included.
