Ar lauksaimniecību saistīto tehnisko tekstu tulkošanas aspekti

Abstract

Ar lauksaimniecību saistīto tehnisko tekstu un tehniskās tulkošanas aktualitāte ir manāmi pieaugusi pēdējo gadu laikā, tomēr vēl arvien pastāv zināmas problēmas saistībā ar šāda veida tekstiem un atbilstošas terminoloģijas izmantošanu. Tā rezultātā, darba mērķis ir uzzināt ar lauksaimniecību saistītās tehniskās terminoloģijas tulkošanas tendences. Tiek pielietotas gan teorētiskas, gan praktiskas pētniecības metodes. Teorētiskās metodes ietver SLV tekstu, tehnisko tekstu un tulkošanas, terminoloģijas funkciju un tās attīstības Latvijā izpēti, bet praktiskās metodes ietver rituļpreses vadītāja rokasgrāmatas terminoloģijas tulkošanas analīzi. Rezultāti liecina, ka pastāv atšķirības starp oficiāli apstiprinātajiem terminu tulkojumiem un attiecīgās jomas ekspertu lietotajiem tulkojumiem.

The topicality of technical writing related to agriculture and technical translation has grown significantly over the recent years; however, certain problems regarding such texts and the use of relevant terminology still persist. Accordingly, the purpose of the work is to find out the tendencies regarding the translation of technical terminology related to agriculture. The research methods are both theoretical and practical. The theoretical methods involve the study of LSP texts, technical writing and translation, functions of terminology and its development in Latvia while the practical methods include analyzing the translation of terminology within the operating manual for a round baler. The results show the existence of discrepancies between the officially approved translations of terms and those employed by the experts of the field.
