Monoftongu artikulācijas problēmas angļu un krievu valodās

Abstract

Mūsdienās runāt angliski un būt saprotamam šajā valodā ir ļoti svarīga prasme, ko apgūt. Pareiza monoftongu artikulācija ir tieši saistīta ar to, cik saprotams ir cilvēks, runājot angliski. Šī darba tēma ir “Monoftongu artikulācijas problēmas angļu un krievu valodās”, un tas ir bāzēts uz šo divu skaņu grupu salīdzinājuma un analīzes. Lai uzlabotu artikulāciju, ir svarīgi būt informētam par kļūdām artikulācijā, kuras studenti bieži pieļauj. Šis pētījums tikai veikts ar mērķi izpētīt monoftongu artikulācijas īpatnības angļu valodā salīdzinājumā ar atbilstošajām krievu valodas skaņām. Pētījuma gaitā tika analizēti dažādi literatūras avoti un tika veikts gadījuma pētījums. Gadījuma pētījuma dalībnieki bija 7. klases skolēni, un tas sevī iekļāva angļu valodas monoftongu artikulācijas pārbaudi un ierakstīšanu, angļu monoftongu pareizas artikulācijas mācīšanu un rezultātu analīzi. Pētījuma rezultāti parādīja, ka nepareiza angļu valodas monoftongu artikulācija ir tieši saistīta ar to, cik ļoti angļu valodas kā svešvalodas apguvējs ir saprotams, un tam jāpievērš uzmanība, mācoties valodu. Nowadays speaking English and being intelligible in this language is a very important skill to acquire. Correct articulation of English monophthongs is directly bound up with intelligibility. The theme of this paper is “Articulation Problems of Monophthongs in English and Russian” and is based on the analysis and comparison of these two groups of speech sounds. To improve one’s articulation, it is important to be aware of the common articulation mistakes that learners tend to make. This research was carried out to explore the articulation peculiarities of English monophthongs as compared with the corresponding Russian speech sounds. In the process of the research, various literature sources were analysed and a pilot teaching was carried out. The participants of the case study were children from Form 7 and it included testing and recording the articulation of English monophthongs, teaching correct articulation of English monophthongs and the analysis of the results. The results of the research showed that incorrect articulation of English monophthongs contributes to the intelligibility of EFL learners and should be paid attention to, when learning the language.
