| dc.description.abstract | Šis bakalaura darbs pēta grūtības, kas saistītas ar angļu interneta sporta totalizatora terminu tulkošanu krievu valodā. Esošā pētījuma mērķis ir atklāt visnozīmīgākās interneta sporta totalizatora terminoloģijas īpašības, noteikt problēmas, kas parādās šīs terminoloģijas tulkošanas gaitā, kā arī izpētīt stratēģijas, kas tiek pielietotas, tulkojot angļu interneta sporta totalizatora terminus krievu valodā. Sekojošas metodes tika pielietotas augstākminētā mērķa sasniegšanai: semi-strukturēta intervija ar sporta totalizatora mājas lapas Getwin.com līdzīpašnieku; 26 sporta totalizatora mājas lapu analīze ar mērķi sastādīt angļu interneta sporta totalizatora terminu glosāriju, kā arī angļu-krievu interneta sporta totalizatora terminoloģijas glosāriju; angļu interneta sporta totalizatora terminu un stratēģiju, kas tika pielietota šo terminu tulkošanai, kvantitatīvā un kvalitatīvā analīze. Pētījuma rezultāti rāda, ka vairums problēmu, kas ir sastopamas, kā interneta sporta totalizatora terminoloģijas sfērā, tā arī šo terminu tulkošanas sfērā, eksistē apstiprinātu standartu trūkuma dēļ.

| dc.description.abstract | The present Bachelor’s thesis investigates difficulties in the transmission of English online sports betting (OSB) terms into the Russian language. The aim of the present research is to reveal the most salient features of OSB terminology, to delineate problems, appearing in the process of translation of this particular terminology and to investigate the translation strategies, applied to the transfer of English OSB terms into the Russian language. In order to achieve this aim, the following methods were applied to the study: a semi-structured interview with the co-owner of the sports betting website Getwin.com; the analysis of 26 sports betting websites with the aim of compiling a glossary of English OSB terms, as well as an English-Russian glossary of OSB terms; a quantitative and qualitative analysis of English OSB terms and strategies, applied to the translation of the terms from English into Russian. The results of the research show that, due to the absence of approved standards in the field of OSB terminology, there exist a number of problems both in the field of terminology and the field of translation of OSB terms.
