Identitāte un laiks T. Manna romānā „Burvju kalns”

Abstract

Darbā tiek analizētas Tomasa Manna romāna "Burvju kalns" pirmās piecas nodaļas, lai pētītu identitātes un laika attiecības jauna cilvēka Hansa Kastorpa dzīvē, kura personība strauji izmainās, sakaroties ar atšķirīgiem apstākļiem un sabiedrības modeļiem 20. gs. sākumā.Vienlaicīgi darba mērķis ir noteikt jaunā cilvēka identitātes problēmas Hamburgas sabiedrībā un Šveices sanatorijas izolētajā vidē. Darbā tiek pētīts, kādi faktori radīja identitātes problēmas Hansa Kastorpa dzīvē un tiek mēģināts noteikt šīs problēmas.Tālāk tiek noskaidrots, kāda bija citu personu un apstākļu ietekme uz jaunā cilvēka laika uztveri, apziņu un identitāti. Darbā tiek salīdzināti T. Manna literārie apraksti par laika pieredzi cilvēka iekšējā pasaulē ar sociālpsihologu aprakstiem, lai noteiktu, vai šī laika pieredze ir aktuāla šodienas sabiedrībā. Darbā tika konstatēts, ka Kastorpa identitātes veidošanos un laika apziņu ietekmēja sabiedrības veidošanās, pārmaiņas ģimenē, saikne ar baznīcu. Pētījums atklāja, ka T. Manna literārie apraksti par cilvēka laika pieredzi ir aktuāli šodien.Vienlaicīgi tika atklāta Kastorpa identitātes krīze pēc pārcelšanās uz sanatoriju, kuras rezultātā, viņš centas apvienot sanatorijas iedzīvotāju un sabiedrības Hamburgā vērtības, paņemot labāko no tām.Veselības pārmaiņu dēļ izmainījās Hansa laika apziņa, kā dēļ viņš zaudēja savu agrāko identitāti. In this bachelor paper, the first five chapters from Thomas Mann’s novel Magic mountain shall be analised, for to investigate the relationship between time and identity in the life of a young man, Hans Castorp, whose personality changed rapidly, when he made acquaintance with new circumstances and with different models of the society in the beginning of the 20th century. The aim of the work ist also to determine the problems of the identity of Castorp in the society of Hamburg and in the isolated world of the sanatorium of Switzerland.The study attempts to find out what factors caused the problems of the identity in the life of Castorp. Simultaneously, the literary descriptions of Th. Mann about the time-experience in the inner world of men shall be compared with the descriptions of the socialpsychologists to find out whether this time-experience could be actual for our today’s society. In the study could be established that in fact the identity of Castorp and his time-consciousness had been influenced by the development of the society in Hamburg, the changes in the family, the Church, and the society in the sanatorium. The research showed that the literary decsriptions concerning the time-experience of the human being are actual for men of today. Later was established, that Castorp experienced the identity-crisis after his transfer in the sanatorium when he tried to unify the values of the societies of the sanatorium and of Hamburg, for to take off the good of it. The changes in his health occasioned alteration in his time-consciousness; therefore he lost his earlier identity.
