Reproduktīvās veselības apmācības īstenošana vispārizglītojošās Latvijas skolās

Abstract

Latvijā jaunieši bieži sastopas ar seksuālās un reproduktīvās veselības problēmām, lai arī informācija ir plaši pieejama visdažādākajās tās izteiksmes formās. Sabiedrībā tiek pieņemts, ka jaunieši ir nezinoši, tomēr svarīgi ir noskaidrot iemeslus, kāpēc jaunieši neiegūst zināšanas vai nespēj tās pielietot praksē. Mans mērķis bija atklāt jauniešu „nezināšanas” patiesos iemeslus, tos, kurus atklāj paši jaunieši. Galvenie secinājumi ir, ka jaunieši nejūtas droši un pārliecināti par savu sociālo ķermeni, kā arī savām zināšanām seksuālās un reproduktīvās veselības jomā. Jaunieši bieži izvēlas klusēt, nevis runāt par savām problēmām. Darbā tiek atklāti arī vairāki sociālās un individuālās veselības aspekti, kādos jaunieši pasniedz un uztver savu un apkārtējo veselību.

Young people in Latvia often face sexual and reproductive health problems, despite the fact, that there is widely available information in various forms of its expression. It is assumed in society that youth is ignorant about these health issues, but it is important to find out what the reasons of young people not obtaining knowledge are or why they are not able to put it into practice. The goal of this research was to discover the real reasons of young people's “ignorance”, their own explanation of the problem.The main conclusions are that young people do not feel safe and confident about their own social body and their knowledge of sexual and reproductive health. They often choose to remain silent and not talk about their problems. The research also points out a number of social and individual aspects of health, which shows, how young people perceive their own and others' health.
