Tulku ētikas kodeksi

Abstract

Diplomdarbs „Tulku ētikas kodeksi” tiek aprakstīti daži no tulku ētikas teorētiskajiem aspektiem un tās veidojošie elementi, kā arī tiek apskatītas klientu vēlmes. Praktiskajā daļā tiek izanalizēti tulku starptautisko organizāciju un asociāciju izstrādātie kodeksi, kā arī tiek noteikta to atbilstība klientu vēlmēm. Darba mērķis ir apskatīt tulka ētiku no teorētiskās un praktiskās puses ar mērķi noteikt kā tulka ētikas pamatprincipu ievērošana var palīdzēt uzlabot tulku pakalpojumu kvalitāti un ticamību. Darbs sastāv no ievada, 2 (divām) nodaļām, secinājumiem, tēzēm, izmantotās literatūras un avotu saraksta un 1 (viena) pielikuma. Pirmajā nodaļā ir apskatīti teorētiskie profesionālās ētikas jautājumi un to mijiedarbība ar tulku lomām, kā arī klientu vēlmēm. Otrajā nodaļā ir analizēti starptautisko organizāciju un asociāciju izstrādātie tulku ētikas kodeksi un salīdzināti ar klientu vēlmēm. Papildus tiek noteikts vai ētikas kodeksus veidojošie elementi atbilsts klientu vajadzībām un vēlmēm. Diplomdarbs sastāv no 55 lapām, 1 tabulas, 16 attēliem, izmantotās literatūras un avotu saraksta ar 35 vienībām. Darbs izstrādāts angliski.

In the present diploma paper „Interpreter Codes of Ethics” some basic theoretical aspects of interpreter ethics and its constitutive elements as well as client expectations are described. In the practical part interpreter codes of ethics of international organizations and associations are analyzed as well as their compliance with clients’ expectations is defined. The goal of the present diploma paper is to view the phenomenon interpreter ethics from the theoretical and the pragmatic perspective with the aim of establishing in what ways the adherence to the basic principles of interpreter ethics may help to improve the quality and trustworthiness of interpreter services. The paper consists of an introduction, 2 (two) chapters, conclusions, theses, bibliography and 1 (one) annex. Chapter I deals with the theoretical aspects of professional ethics, the role of interpreter as well as client expectations. In Chapter II interpreter codes of ethics of international organizations and associations are analyzed and compared to clients’ expectations. In addition it is identified whether constitutive elements of the codes of ethics are adequate to meet the needs and expectations of the clients. The Diploma paper consists of 55 pages, 1 table, 16 figures, Bibliography with 35 items. The paper is written in English.
