Datora izmantošana akadēmiskās angļu valodas apguvē

Abstract

Bakalaura darba temats ir „Datora izmantošana akadēmiskās angļu valodas apguvē”. Darba mērķis bija pētīt datora izmantošanu akadēmiskās angļu valodas apguvē un tā ieguldījumu vārdu krājuma pilnveidošanā. Pētījumā tika apkopota un analizēta teorija, kā arī pētīta SACODEYL Search programma, tās korpuss un rezultāti no studentu, kuri lietoja programmu, aizpildītajām aptaujām. Iegūtie rezultāti norāda, ka SACODEYL Search programma nav efektīva, lai veicinātu vārdu krājuma pilnveidošanu studentiem, kuri studē angļu valodu akadēmiskiem nolūkiem. Autore uzskata, ka datora izmantošana angļu valodas apguvē nebija efektīva tikai šinī gadījumā nevis vispārīgi. The theme of the Bachelor Thesis is “Computer-assisted English Language Learning for Academic Purposes”. The aim of the present thesis was to research computer-assisted English language learning and its contribution to vocabulary development of the English language for Academic Purposes. The present research has been conducted on the basis of analytical and selective study of the available literature on the theme and the analysis of SACODEYL Search programme, its corpus study and questionnaire for EAP students who used the programme. The obtained results showed that SACODEYL Search is not effective to promote vocabulary development for the students who study English for Academic Purposes. However, the author claims that computer-assisted language learning was not effective only in this case, not in general.
