Japānisma un orientālisma elementi M.Fermina romānā "Sniegs"

Abstract

Bakalaura darbs ir veltīts M. Fermīna romānā ‘Sniegs’ saskatāmu japānisma elementu analīzei. Tas apskata atsevišķus līdzekļus, ko autors ir izmantojis, lai panāktu japāniskuma efektu savā romānā, kā arī izskaidro motīvus un tendences, kurām sekojot, autoram ir izdevies konstruēt Japānas eksotisko, romantisko un poētisko tēlu savā romānā. Šis darbs noskaidro arī to, ka, demonstrējot lasītājam tikai Japānas romantisko pusi un ignorējot visai sarežģītu realitāti, autors ne tikai neapšauba Rietumos jau eksistējošus ar Japānu un japāņiem saistītus stereotipus, bet arī pieļauj to atražošanu un pastāvēšanu. Bakalaura darbā ir mēģināts pierādīt, ka, neskatoties uz to, ka Fermīna romāns tomēr ir fikcija, t.i. izdomājums, izvēloties romāna notikumiem reālu valsti un reālus cilvēkus un piedēvējot tiem noteiktas īpašības pēc savas gaumes, autors gribot vai negribot rada visai nekorektus priekšstatus par Japānu un japāņiem.

Bachelor paper is dedicated to the analysis of the elements of japanism found in the novel of M. Fermin ‘Snow’. It examines separate means which the author has used to achieve an effect of ‘japaneseness’ in his novel, and also it explains motivations and tendences, following which the author was able to build an exotic, romantic and poetic image of Japan in his novel. Moreover this paper discovers that while demonstrating to the reader only the romantic image of Japan and ignoring quite complex reality, the author allows aready existing in the West stereotypes about Japan and the japanese generate themselves and live unchallenged in the minds of the Westerners. Bachelor paper tries to prove that although Fermin`s novel is a fiction, a non real story, chosing a real country and real people for the action and attaching to them certain characteristics on author`s own choice, the author willingly or unwilingly creates quite distorted vision of Japan and the Japanese.
