Abstract

Bakalaura darbā „Klaudija Galēna darbu ietekme Avicennas grāmatā „Medicīnas kanons” ir aplūkotas medicīnas teorijas, ko Avicenna ir aizguvis no Galēna. Darbā izvirzītā tēma sniedz ieskatu par medicīnas etioloģiju un izplatīšanos, kas veicina cilvēka izpratni par vēstures un medicīnas ciešo saistību. Darba mērķis ir, izmantojot vēsturiski salīdzinošo metodi, pierādīt, ka Avicenna pārņēma Galēna teorijas un iekļāva tās „Medicīnas kanonā”. Viņš paļāvās uz Galēna uzskatiem daudzās, atšķirīgās jomās un balstīja savas teorijas uz Galēna mācības, vai nu tieši pieņemot viņa pētījumus, vai tos papildinot. Avicenna savu pamatu medicīnā ir ieguvis mācoties Galēna darbus. Viņš no Galēna ir pārņēmi daudz svarīgu zināšanu, bet nav baidījies izvirzīt savas teorijas vai papildināt Galēna. Teorijas, ko viņš ir pārņēmis un iekļāvis „Medicīnas kanonā”, no Galēna aptver dažādas sfēras. Bakalaura darbs sastāv no trīs daļām, kam katrai ir divas nodaļās ar apakšnodaļām un darbs sastāv no 45 lapām.

In the bachelor’s paper „ Influence of the Writings by Claudius Galen in Avicenna’s Book “The Canon of Medicine” the medical theories that Avicenna adopted from Galen are considered. The thesis put forward in the paper gives the insight on the medical aetiology and development that contributes the human understanding of the close relationship of history and medicine. By applying comparative historical method, the goal of the paper is to prove that the theory of Avicenna is adopted from Galen and included into „The Canon of medicine”. He relied on the opinion of Galen in many different areas and based his theories on Galen’s doctrine, by adopting his researches or improving them. Avicenna got his basics of medicine by learning from Galen’s works. From Galen he took over a lot of important knowledge, but he was brave enough to promote his own theories or improve Galen’s ones.
