Lugas tulkošana kā izaicinājums tulkotājam: Mariusa fon Maienburga komēdija "Neglītenis" (DE-LV)

Abstract

Diplomdarba teorētiskajā daļā tiek izskaidrotas dažādas tulkošanas jēdziena definīcijas, literatūras tulkošanas būtība un nozīme, tulkošanai atbilstoši tekstu tipi, kā arī sniegts analītisks pārskats par lugu tulkošanas iespējām un aspektiem. Pētījuma praktiskajā daļā, raksturota, interpretēta, analizēta un iztulkota jaunākā M. fon Maienburga komēdija „Neglītenis“ („Der Häßliche“). M. fon Maienburgs uzskatāms par vienu no talantīgākajiem jaunajiem lugu rakstniekiem gan Vācijā, gan pasaulē. Savos darbos viņš pārsvarā apraksta drastiskus konfliktus starp cilvēkiem, iztirzājot gan politiskas, gan sociālas problēmas. Šīs komēdijas tematika atspoguļo identitātes zaudēšanas problemātiku, jautājumu par esošo un šķietamo, kā arī ārišķības varu un skaistuma neprātu. Par svarīgākajiem aspektiem lugas tulkošanā tika noteikti: virsraksta tulkošana, saīsināto gramatisko formu, paužu norāžu un pielikumu saglabāšana teikumos, izsauksmes vārdu tulkošana un piemērošana, ekvivalentu partikulu, sarunvalodas vārdu un teicienu lietošana latviešu valodā, personvārdu un reāliju atveide latviešu valodā, kā arī precīza un profesionāla svešvārdu un terminoloģijas tulkošana. Uzskaitītie izvirzītie aspekti bija uzskatāmi par būtiskākajiem autora (avotteksta) stila saglabāšanā mērķa valodā. Diplomdarba pirmajās nodaļās iegūtās zināšanas, komēdijas „Neglītenis“ analīzes un tulkojuma rezultāti praktiskajā daļā pierāda izvirzīto hipotēzi, ka tulkotājam nepieciešamas zināšanas valodniecības un tulkošanas zinātnes jomās kā arī specifiskas ar avottekstu un tulkošanas uzdevumu saistītas zināšanas, lai pieņmetu un pārvarētu piedāvāto izaicinājumu.

Different translation definitions, the significance of literature translation and for translation appropriate texttypes are explained in the theoretical part of Diploma Paper. The work also gives the analytical summary of possible aspects of translation of play. The practical part of research describes, interprets, analyses and translates the new comedy “Der Häßliche” written by Marius von Mayenburg. M. von Mayenburg is considered to be one of the talented young playwriters not only in Germany but also in the world. In his works he mainly describes the drastics conflicts between people and discussing both the political and social problems. This comedy reflects the problem of the loss of identity, the question about existent and imaginary and the irrationality of beauty. The translation of the title, the retention of the abbreviated grammatical forms, indication of pauses and appendices in the sentences, the translation and adaptation of the exclamations, the usage of equivalent particles and colloquialisms in the Latvian, reproduction of person’s names and cultural words in the Latvian, as well as exact and professional translation of foreign words and terminology are determined to be the most significant aspects in the translation of the play. The listed aspects were considered to be important for the maintenance of the source text’s style in the target language. The knowledge acquired in the first chapters of the Diploma Paper, the results of the analysis and translation of the comedy described in the practical part prove the hypothesis that translator needs the knowledge in the field of linguistics and translation science, as well as specific knowledge related to the source text and objective of the translation in order to accept and overcome the offered challenge.
