Biogrāfiskās filmas „Pirmatnībā” izveides paņēmieni no Džona Krakauera biogrāfiskās literatūras

Abstract

Bakalaura darbā „Biogrāfiskās filmas ‘Pirmatnībā’ izveides paņēmieni no Džona Krakauera biogrāfiskās literatūras” tiek atklātas metodes, kas ir jāievēro mākslas filmas adaptācijas procesā no dokumentālās literatūras, īpaši pievēršoties biogrāfiskā žanra principiem. Pētījuma mērķis ir izklāstīt norādījumus, kas nepieciešami, veidojot filmu no literārā darba, īpaši apskatot divu mākslas mēdiju atšķirīgās būtības. Izmantojot iegūtos materiālus, dažādu literatūras zinātnieku, biogrāfu un filmu kritiķu izvirzītie biogrāfisko darbu izveides paņēmieni tiek salīdzināti; tiek analizētas atšķirības starp verbālo literāro darbu valodu un vizuālo filmu valodu; lai noteiktu paņēmienus, kas tika izmantoti filmas ‘Pirmatnībā’ radīšanas procesā, tiek pielietota novērošanas metode, kas ir balstīta uz teorētiskā materiāla interpretāciju. Bakalaura darba rezultāts, kas tika iegūts, balstoties uz izvēlētajām metodēm, ir izanalizēto filmas adaptācijas paņēmienu salikums. Darba gaitā tika izdarīti sekojoši secinājumi: literārā darba un filmas galvenā doma tiek pārraidīta atšķirīgos veidos, jo dotie mākslas mēdiji ievēro dažādus stāstījuma principus. Tādejādi, pilnīga režisora precizitāte un atbilstība literārajam darbam ir neiespējama un nevajadzīga.

The present paper “Methods of the Biographical Picture ‘Into the Wild’ Creation from the Biography by Jon Krakauer” reveals the approaches necessary to observe in the process of a feature film adaptation from a non- fiction work, focusing particularly on the principles of the genre of biography. The purpose of the research is to establish the guidelines for making a film from a literary work exploring the different natures of the two media. The method of gathering and comparing approaches to creating biographical works proposed by various literary scholars, biographers and film genre critics is utilized; the differences between the verbal language of a literary work and the visual language of a film are analysed; the method of observation, based on the interpretation of theoretical material is applied to establish the means of the feature film ‘Into the Wild’ adaptation. The result of the research paper is the analysed set of the adaptation approaches, based on selected methods. In the course of research the following conclusions have been drawn: a literary work and a film convey the message in very different ways, for the two artistic media follow diverse principles of narration. Therefore, the filmmaker’s absolute fidelity to the literary work is impossible and unnecessary.
