Tēlu salīdzinošā analīze Viljama M.Tekerija romānā "Liekulības tirgus" un tā ekranizācijā

Abstract

Bakalaura darba tēma ir „Tēlu salīdzinošā analīze V. Tekerija romānā „Liekulības tirgus” un tā ekranizācijā”. Darbā ir salīdzināti tēli romānā un tā 2004. gada ekranizācijā, pievēršot uzmanību kopīgajam un atšķirīgajam, to ne tikai nosaucot, bet arī izskaidrojot. Darba mērķis ir atainot dažādo vērtību uztveri XIX gadsimta sākumā un mūsdienās un pierādīt, ka ekranizācijai ir vērtība pašai par sevi, neatkarīgi no romāna. Darba gaitā pielietotās metodes pamatā ir teorētiskas, kā teorijas pētīšana un pretstatīšana, analoģiju un pretstatījumu izmantošana, vispārināšana un secinājumu izdarīšana. Bakalaura darba ietvaros veiktā pētījuma gaitā iegūtie rezultāti ir attiecināmi uz no paaudzes uz paaudzi mainīgo vērtību uztveri laika gaitā un divu mākslas formu – romāna un kinematogrāfiskās versijas - līdzpastāvēšanas iespējamību. Galvenais bakalaura darba secinājums ir: ņemot vērā, ka ir neiespējami atainot ekranizācijā visus klasiskā romāna tēlus un notikumus un ka tēli var būt interpretēti saskaņā ar mūsdienu sabiedrības vērtībām, filmai ir savādāka ietekme uz skatītājiem nekā romānam uz lasītājiem, kā arī filmai piemīt vērtība pašai par sevi, neatkarīgi no romāna.

The topic of the Bachelor Thesis “Comparative Analysis of the Characters of William Thackeray’s “Vanity Fair” in the Novel and the Film” is to compare the characters in the novel and its recent screen version drawing attention to the differences and the correspondences of the depiction of characters presenting more explanation than description of those. The purpose of the thesis is to depict various perceptions of the values in the beginning of the XIX century and nowadays, and to illustrate that the film has its own value in respect to the novel. Research methods are mainly theoretical: a study and contrastive analysis of the relevant theories, drawing analogies, making juxtapositions, generalizing and drawing conclusions. The results of the investigation refer to the variable perception of the values of human beings from generation to generation in time frame and the possibility of the co-existence of two art forms – written novel and its cinematic version. The main conclusion of the Bachelor Thesis is that considering the impossibility to bring onto the screen all the characters and the events of a classic novel and that the characters can be interpreted in a new manner, according to the values of the contemporary society, the film has different impact on the audience than the novel and has its own value, not related to its literary source.
