Klausīšanās prasmju attīstīšana vidusskolā

Abstract

Diplomdarba autore ir izvēlējusies un strādājusi pie aktuālas tēmas “Klausīšanās prasmju attīstīšana vidusskolā”. Teorētiskājā daļā aplūkotas klausīšnās stratēģjas un dots ieskats, kādam jābūt labam klausīšanās uzdevumam, uzsverot cik liela nozīme pirms klausīšanās ar dažādu vingrinājumu palīdzību aktivizēt studentu zināšanas un vārdu krājumu par attiecīgo tēmu. Skolēnu motivācija ir viena no galvenajām problēmām skolā, tāpēc darba autore sniedz ieskatu kā palielināt motivāciju mācīties, izmantojot dažādus klausīšanās uzdevumus, kā arī televīziju un radio angļu valodā. Tiek apskatīta arī skolotāja loma un atbildība mācību procesā. Darba autore raksta par veidiem un iespējām, kā izveidot labu klausīšanās uzdevumu, uzsverot, ka tādi uzdevumi ir ļoti svarīgi mācīšanās procesā un spēj uzlabot skolēnu klausīšanās prasmes, kā arī padarīt mācīšanās procesu daudz interesantāku un motivējošāku. Pētījums tiek balstīts uz autores pašas darba pieredzi Ventspils 4. vidusskolā . Galvenais šī darba mērķis ir izpētīt iespējas, kā uzlabot un attīstīt skolēnu klausīšanās prasmes. Praktiskajā daļā ir aprakstīti klausīšanās uzdevumi, kas atbilst laba klausīšanās uzdevuma principiem un spēj ieinteresēt skolēnu , radot pārliecību viņā varēšanai, un motivē klausīties ne tikai stundās, bet arī mājās ( TV, radio). Darba autore ir gatava izmantot iegūto informāciju turpmākajam darbam angļu valodas stundās, lai uzlabotu skolēnu klausīšanās prasmes, ko viņi tālāk varētu izmantot praksē dažādās ikdienas situācijās.

The author of the present diploma paper has chosen and worked on an actual theme “Developing Listening Skills at Secondary School”. The theoretical part gives the description goals and techniques for teaching listening, describes strategies for developing listening skills and shows characteristics of good listening exercise. As motivation is one of the central problems at school the author gives reasons for students’ motivation to learn a foreign language. The responsibility for students’ success is in the hands of their teacher. Speaking about teacher’s role in providing beneficial learning environment the author emphasizes two basic criteria- a good mastery of the foreign language and teacher’s interest in what he/she does. The author also speaks about the ways and possibilities of creating a good listening activities, which is very important in the learning process and developing listening skills, and gives the ideas how to succeed with the listening activities to make students’ learning process more interesting and motivating. The present research is based on the author’s own study and the experience of teaching English to the students’ at Ventspils Secondary School Nr4. The major goal of this qualification paper is to investigate possibilities of developing listening skills. It shows that dealing with the activities that make pupils feel involved in the learning process helps them to develop not only their learning motivation and listening skills but also promotes their awareness in the practical use of language. The practical part includes a set of activities that help to involve the pupils and develop their listening skills considering the principle of a good listening exercise. The author strongly believes and is ready to use the gained information in the English lessons to help the students to improve their listening skills and practical use of English language in their everyday life.
