The analysis of tritium distribution and structural changes of carbon fiber composite tungsten-coated and non-coated tungsten tiles from the Joint Europen Torus (JET) campaigns 2007 -2009 has been made. Investigated tiles of the MKII-HD model divertor were located at the positions seven and eight of vertical external geometry. It was estimated that the amount of tritium in the surface layer of analyzed tiles in eigth position without tungsten coating (2ONG8B) was 121.2 ± 139.0 kBqņg-1 and in tile with 14 μm layer of tungsten coating (2ONG8A) tritium activity was 67.79 ± 43.86 kBqņg-1. For seventh position tiles – 55.31 ± 17.85 kBqņg-1 for uncoated tile (2ONG7A) and 45.88 ± 8.09 kBqņg-1 for the coated tile (2OWG7B). Results indicate that the 14 μm tungsten coating partially prevents the formation of deposited layer on the surface and reduces tritium transport into the divertor tile.
