Stirnu Capreolus capreolus guļvietu izvēles ietekmējošie faktori ziemā

Abstract

Darbs izstrādāts Bioloģijas fakultātē, Zooloģijas un dzīvnieku ekoloģijas katedrā, laika posmā no 2010. – 2011. gadam. Darba mērķis – noteikt faktoru kopumu, kas ietekmē stirnu guļvietu izvēli ziemā. Datu ievākšana notika četros parauglaukumos ar dažāda vecuma priežu un egļu audzēm. Atrastajām guļvietām mērīts attālums līdz tuvākajam kokam, koka apkārtmērs krūšu augstumā un tuvākā zara pārkares augstums, kā arī tuvākas barošanās vietas attālums un noteikts barošanās avots. Dati par gaisa temperatūru un sniega segas biezumu iegūti no tuvākajām meteoroloģiskajām stacijām. Sniega segas augstums būtiski ietekmē attālumu no pēdējās barošanās vietas līdz guļvietai, līdz ar to arī guļvietas izvēli. Vidējā gaisa temperatūra, attālums no guļvietas līdz kokam, koka apkārtmērs un diametrs guļvietas izvēli šajā darbā apsekotajos parauglaukumos būtiski neietekmē. Bachelor works theme is „Influencing factors on bed – site selection by European roe deer Capreolus capreolus during winter”. Study develops in the department of Zoology and animal ecology of the faculty of biology in period from 2010. – 2011. The aim of this study was to determine factors influencing bed – site selection by roe deer. Data were collected in four study sites with spruce and pine forests of various age. The distance from bed – site to and diameter at breast height of the nearest tree was measured. Tree species was noted and the height of the nearest live branch (as a thermal cover) above bed - site was measured. Also the distance to nearest feeding site was measured and foraging source was noted. Data of air temperature and snow dapth was taken form nearest weather stations. In this study snow depth affects mean distance between forage – site and bed – site, thereby snow depth affects bed – site selection. Other measured factors did not show esential influence on bed – site selection. Key words: Capreolus capreolus, roe deer, bed – site selection, thermal cover, snow depth.
