| dc.description.abstract | Miežiem viens no miltrasas izturību nosakošajiem gēniem ir Mla. Molekulāro marķieru izstrāde šim lokusam ievērojami atvieglinātu selekcionāru darbu. Tāpēc šī darba mērķis ir izpētīt Mla lokusu Latvijas miežu selekcijas materiālā, definēt iespējamos molekulāros marķierus Mla lokusam, kas pielietojami Latvijas materiālā.
Paša Mla lokusa uzbūves kompleksums neļauj izveidot marķierus gēna sekvencē, tādēļ izmantoti šo lokusu flankējoši reģioni (ABC15612, 538P8, 206i20_T7). Lokusi sekvenēti, lokusu haplotipu analīze parāda, ka pastāv saistība starp fenotipiskajām miltrasas izturības alēlēm un haplotipiem, kā arī Latvijas miežiem ir augsta daudzveidība flankējošos lokusos. Darbā identificēti haplotipus atšķirošie SNP, izstrādāts marķieris Mla18 alēles donoram ‘RS20-1/Kieb’.

| dc.description.abstract | Mla represents one of mildew resistance gens in barley. Development of molecular markers for this locus would be beneficial for breeders. The aim of this study is to study Mla locus in Latvian barley breeding material and to define possible molecular markers
Complexity of Mla hiders development of markers in the gene itself, therefore flanking loci (ABC15612, 538P8, 206i20_T7) were used. Sequence data of these loci shows correlation between phenotypicaly observed resistance and haplotypes. High diversity in Latvian varieties in flanking loci sequences was observed. Tag SNP for haplotypes were identified and molecular marker for RS20-1/Kieb – donor of Mla18 allele was developed.
