Angļu valodas mācīšana vasaras skolā izmantojot drāmas elementu

Abstract

Drāmas izmantošana angļu valodas mācīšanā ir kļuvusi par efektīvu metodi, kura motivē skolēnus mācīties un veicina valodas prasmju apguvi. Bakalaura darba mērķis bija pierādīt, ka drāmas izmantošana ir viena no veiksmīgākajām metodēm angļu valodas mācīšanā jaunākā skolas vecuma bērniem vasaras skolā „Litera”. Bakalaura darba izstrādē tika izskatīts plašs teorētisko materiālu klāsts, kuros tika pētīti un analizēti ar valodas mācīšanu un mācīšanos saistīti jautājumi, piem. - skolēnu vecums, spējas, motivācija un stratēģijas, drāmas izmantošana stundās un valodas prasmju attīstīšana. Situācijas izpēte (case study) ietvēra anketēšanu, intervijas un stundu vērošanu. Iegūtie dati pierādīja, ka drāma ir lietderīga metode angļu valodas mācīšanā, jo tā pozitīvi ietekmē būtiskus faktorus, kuri veicina jaunākā skolas vecuma bērnu valodas apguvi.

The use of Drama in English language teaching has become an effective technique which motivates learners to learn and facilitates the development of their language skills. The goal of the bachelor paper was to prove that the use of drama was one of the most successful techniques in teaching English to young learners at the Summer School “Litera”. The theoretical methods comprised studying and analysing relevant theoretical materials related to language teaching and learning such as learners’ age, aptitude, motivation, types and strategies, the use of drama in classes, and the development of language skills. The empirical methods comprised a case study, which explored the development of English language skills of a group of young learners, who studied English through Drama. The data received as a result of the analysis of the questionnaire, interview and lesson observation prove that Drama is a useful technique in English language teaching as it affects relevant factors facilitating successful language learning of young learners.
