Tēlu pārvērtības N.Šekspīra romānā "Snowleg" un K.Filipsa romānā "A Distant Shore"

Abstract

Bakalaura darba tēma ir- Tēlu pārvērtības Nikolasa Šekspīra romānā „Snowleg” un Kerila Filipsa romānā „A Distant Shore”. Bakalaura darbs pēta šo divu romānu galvenos varoņus- Pīteru no „Snowleg” un Gabrielu no „A Distant Shore”. Šī bakalaura darba mērķis ir parādīt, ka romāna „Snowleg” un „A Distant Shore” galvenie varoņi piedzīvo radikālas pārmaiņas viņu dzīves laikā, un atklāt viņu pārmaiņu cēloņus un sekas. Lai sasniegtu izvirzīto mērķi, tika izmantoti dažādi teorētiksie materiāli un citāti no dotajiem romāniem. Bakalaura darbs rāda, ka šie romānu galvenie tēli ir dinamiskas personības un, ka viņi migrējot piedzīvo radikālas pārmaiņas viņu dzīvēs. Pētījums parādīja, ka personāži migrēja dažādu motīvu vadīti, ka viņi piedzīvoja kultūršoku un ka pielāgošanās jaunajām kultūrām bija personības pārmaiņu cēlonis.

The subject of the Bachelor Thesis is - Character Changes in Nicholas Shakespeare’s Novel “Snowleg” (2004) and Caryl Phillip’s Novel “A Distant Shore” (2003). The BA paper researches protagonists of these two novels, Peter in Snowleg and Gabriel in A Distant Shore. The aim of the current Bachelor Thesis was to show that the protagonists of these novels experience radical changes in their lives and to reveal the causes and the consequences of these changes. Different theoretical materials and textual evidence were used to reach the goal. The BA Paper shows that these protagonists are dynamic characters and that they experience radical changes in their lives in the course of their migration. The research has demonstrated that the characters migrated for different reasons; they experienced culture shock and their adaptation to the new cultures caused changes in their personalities.
