Personvārdu atveide no vācu valodas latviešu valodā Johana Volfganga Gētes darbā "Fausts"

Abstract

Maģistra darba tēma „Personvārdu atveide no vācu valodas latviešu valodā Johana Volfganga Gētes darbā „Fausts”” izvēlēta, lai uzsvērtu tulkojumu būtisko lomu citvalodu telpu kultūru iepazīšanā. Saskaņā ar izvirzīto uzdevumu maģistra darbā ir noskaidroti tulkošanas paņēmieni personvārdu kā reāliju atveidē. Kvantitatīvā analīzē apkopoti „Fausta” personvārdu atveides gadījumi Raiņa un V. Bisenieka tulkojumos latviešu valodā ir salīdzināti atbilstīgi citvalodu personvārdu atveides principiem latviešu valodā. Galvenais darba secinājums – mūsdienu principi galvenokārt izmantojami latviešu valodā mazpazīstamu citvalodu personvārdu atveidē, senu un populāru personvārdu atveidi lielākoties nosaka tradīcija, tajā iespējami varianti.

The choice of master thesis’ topic “Rendition of Anthroponyms from German into Latvian in Johann Wolfgang Goethe’s “Faust”” stresses the significant role of translations in getting acquainted with different-speaking cultures. As per task set, the master thesis outlines the translation methods for rendering anthroponyms as realias. Using quantitative analysis, the anthroponym renditions in the translations of Rainis and V. Bisenieks have been compiled and a comparison has been drawn in accordance with the principles of anthroponym rendition in Latvian. The main conclusion of the master thesis – the modern principles mostly apply for rendering anthroponyms which are little-known in Latvian, the rendition old and popular anthroponyms is generally determined by tradition with the possibility of variants.
