Abstract

Bakalaura darbs atspoguļo ar dabas aizsardzību saistīto terminu funkcionālo grupu biežumu, vārdkopu biežumu, kā arī terminu funkcionālo grupu analīzi žurnāla Time rakstu sadaļās. Izpētes jautājumu teorētiskais pamats ir ievests ar B. Paltridža un S. Stārfieldas (Paltridge and Starfield, 2013), P. Neišana (Nation, 2001), H. Džeksona un E. Amvela (Jackson and Amvela, 2000) darbiem. Pētījuma mērķis ir izpētīt ar dabas aizsardzību saistīto terminu lietojumu populāro mēdiju tekstos, atsaucoties uz dažādiem laika periodiem. Galvenā metode, kas tiek izmantota pētnieciskajā darbā ir korpusa lingvistikā M. Mahlberga (Mahlberg, 2007) analīze. Tika analizētas ar dabas aizsardzību saistīto terminu funkcionālās grupas un vārdkopas. Ar dabas aizsardzību saistīto leksikonu ietekmē pasaulē notiekošie procesi. Funkcionālo grupu biežums un vārdkopas atspoguļo terminu tekstuālo lietojumu. Atslēgvārdi: korpusa lingvistika, ar dabu saistītais leksikons, kvalitatīvā analīze.

The current BA thesis presents the results of the analysis of the frequency of functional groups of the environment protection words, frequency of collocations and also the analysis of the functional groups across the Time magazine article sections. The background of the research is established by the works of Paltridge and Starfield (2013), Nation (2001), Jackson and Amavela (2000). The goal of the research is to investigate the use of terms relevant to the environment protection in popular media texts referring to different periods of time. The main research method was corpus-linguistic method described by Mahlberg (2007). Functional groups and collocations of the environment protection terms were analyzed. The environmental lexicon is influenced by surrounding events in the world and the frequency of functional groups, and collocations shows the textual functions of the environmental terms.
